General Awesomeness[edit]

Would it be fancruft to mention how ridiculously powerful this powerup is in combat (especially multiplayer)? Sordyne 08:01, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

This powerup is just WAAAY to broken. In fact, I didn't even write HALF of the stuff that this overpowered item does. It allows you to cancel bad powerups, get free when you're stuck on top of a ped, fix you when you're about to land on your roof, etc. And in CarmaTDR, some of these things don't happen, but one can have some huge fun with it by extending jumps. Maybe it should be mentioned that most players LOVE this powerup above all others. I certainly do. {EspyoT} 13:52, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
Firing it right before hitting an opponent does an absolute fuckload more damage too ;) I've added a note saying as much, and that it can be used sparingly unlike most items. Sordyne 15:34, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
Well... I mean, isn't that REALLY obvious? Hitting an opponent while just driving < hitting an opponent at HOLY SHIIIIII speed. But I guess it doesn't hurt the fact that that's included. In that case, maybe it should be included in the other articles as well... hot rod, turbo, turbo nutter bastard nitrous... Or not. {EspyoT} 15:51, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
Lol, yeah, but I mean it's about 7000 times better than any of the others because of A) Improved control and B) The sudden acceleration burst at short range > long run up. I know that's still obvious, but it's the kinda thing I think ought to be included on a wiki. Sordyne 15:56, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
Well, the facts don't lie: the hot rod and turbo nutter bastard nitrous both multiply the speed by 8. The afterburner multiplies it by NINE POINT FREAKING FIVE. No wonder it's an epic powerup. {EspyoT} 16:31, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
Holy shit! I didn't realise it was THAT epic. Sordyne 16:39, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
TBH, me neither. In fact, the table on this page was incomplete: THAT's why I didn't knew. Also, reply pyramid lol, {EspyoT} 17:24, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
